New music Friday: DaBaby, Isaiah Rashad, GoldLink, Migos, Gucci Mane and more

Here’s another roundup of hot new single and album releases from today’s hottest artists. 

DaBaby takes us back to school with a high-school-themed visual for his new song, “Ball if I Want To.”

For his directorial debut, the goofy visual finds DaBaby on a high school campus with dozens of choreographed dancers, twerking cheerleaders and other shenanigans in the library and cafeteria.  The video also features appearances from DaBaby’s baby diaper-wearing mascot.

Chattanooga rapper Isaiah Rashad keeps it simple in the visualr for his new song, “Headshots (4r da locals).” It features a snowball with the name of his hometown and a man lying in bed next to a topless woman, with her chest covered by spinning records.

“It feel good since a [man] been back but a [man] done changed / Change, change, changed / Weed couldn’t settle my fire / Couldn’t cover my pain, pain, pain, pain, pain,” Isaiah raps.

Meanwhile, GoldLink returns with his new album, Haram, his first in two years. The 15-song effort follows his 2019 debut, Diaspora, and features Alabama rapper Flo Milli, who recently landed a spot on XXL’s 2021 Freshman class list.

Migos also returns with a deluxe version of Culture III, featuring five additional tracks solely from Offset,Quavo and Takeoff.

Lastly, Gucci Mane decided to celebrate Father’s Day early with his new album, Ice DaddyInspired by his six-month-old son, Ice Davis, with his wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, the project features Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, E-40, 2 Chainz and more.

Ahead of the album’s release, Gucci dropped a music video for “Posse on Bouldercrest” with Pooh Shiesty and rap legend Sir Mix-a-Lot.
