Pastor Marvin L. Winans is the founder and pastor of Perfecting Church, one of Detroit, Michigan’s foremost congregations and a growing ministry family that extends far beyond its active local campus. In addition to his ministry achievements, Pastor Winans is a multiple GRAMMY®, Stellar, and Dove winning recording artist, as well as one-fourth of the legendary gospel quartet, The Winans, with whom he recorded such beloved hits as “Tomorrow”, “Ain’t No Need to Worry” and “It’s Time.” His background in music has been put to good use at Perfecting Church, where his songs are sung weekly and have appeared in various recording projects featuring the church’s praise band and choir, including the church’s 2012’s The Praise & Worship Experience, which Pastor Winans produced.
Critically acclaimed inspirational, R&B and gospel vocalist BeBe Winans is best known as part of the celebrated Winans family. Winner of six Grammy Awards, ten Dove Awards, six Stellar Awards, three NAACP Awards, and one Soul Train Music Award. BeBe was also a featured performer of the stage Broadway production of Oprah Winfrey Presents The Color Purple and Screen and awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as the First Brother/Sister Duo Awarded this honor.
A devoted and loving father of six, and a native of Detroit, Carvin made his musical debut in 1981 as a member of the world renowned Winans family. Throughout his career, he has received multiple Grammy, Soul Train, NAACP
and Dove Awards. In October 2007 he was inducted in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Nashville Tennessee along with his brothers. On June 18, 2008 Carvin received the President’s Merit Award from the Recording Academy in recognition of his extraordinary gifts as a passionate singer, performer, expressive communicator, and pioneer of contemporary gospel music.
Over their illustrious careers all three brothers have been feted with innumerable awards and honors, each one a multi Grammy award winner with a cumulative 17 Grammy Awards between them. Now, as 3WB, Three Winans Brothers, these remarkable artists come together as a trio for the first time ever, blending their countless gifts into an astonishing, powerful, and passionate new vehicle for contemporary inspirational music.
