ABC/Randy HolmesNick Cannon and Mariah Carey are responding to the “haters” in a new social media message posted by Cannon on Father’s Day.
In the Instagram photo, which shows the former couple surrounded by their children and Cannon’s mom, Nick writes, “Leaving the Haters in the Wind! LOL They want us to be mad so bad! @MariahCarey but we happier than happy! #HappyFathersDay
The post comes after Cannon’s “Divorce Papers” freestyle rap last week, in which he addressed his divorce with Carey, his health, and issues with his current child visitation rights. Soon after, TMZ reported that sources close to Mariah claim the singer was surprised by the track, because the two have gotten along well and “Mariah has never denied Nick access to the twins.”
Cannon and Carey split in 2014 and filed for divorce in January 2015 after six years of marriage. Mariah is currently engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer.
