Nick Gordon Says Bobbi Kristina Used Drugs to Deal with Mom Whitney Houston’s Death

by

LifetimeThe former boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown is talking to TV’s Dr. Phil again this week.  And this time, he’s not having a meltdown, like before.

In an exclusive two-part interview airing on Dr. Phil Thursday and Friday, Nick Gordon reveals details about his private life with the aspiring singer/actress and her mother, the legendary vocalist Whitney Houston.  He admits that Bobbi Kristina, whom he called his wife, had a drug problem before her tragic death last year.

“Yeah,” Gordon replied to Dr. Phil’s question about Brown having a drug problem.  He added that he saw Bobbi Kristina do drugs in social settings while her mother was alive, and that he smoked drugs along with her.

Bobbi Kristina’s drug use worsened after her mother’s death, Gordon claimed: “It’s unfortunate, but at the time, that’s kind of the only way we knew how to deal with what had happened.”

Gordon, who was raised by Houston, is in the midst of fighting a $10 million civil lawsuit filed by Bobbi Kristina’s conservator, which claims he’s responsible for her death.  He’s believed to be one of the last people to see her conscious before she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her George home January 31, 2015.  She died July 26, 2015 at age 22, having never regained consciousness.

“Regardless of what everybody thinks, I made Krissy and Whitney’s last few years on earth as happy as they would be,” Gordon tells Dr. Phil. “I gave them somebody to trust, to talk to, to be there, someone genuine.”
