Nicki Minaj announces her next level HBO Max docu-series

Republic Records Media Grammy-winning superstar, rapper, and new mommy, Nicki Minaj has landed a docu-series at HBO Max. 

On Friday, the Pink Friday rapper broke the news on social media, revealing her second documentary to follow up 2013’s My Time Now.

“What’s up y’all its Onika Tanya Maraj and I’m very excited to finally share with you guys that my docu-series is coming to HBO Max,” Nicki shouted in an Instagram video. “It’s going to give you guys a raw unfiltered look at my personal life and my professional journey and I can’t wait to share it with you. 

In the caption, Nicki promises “this doc is next level” and was designed with her loyal Barbz fanbase in mind.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to have HBO Max on board to help me tell my story in this delicate and memorable way. A way that my fans will love forever,” she continued. 

According to a press release, the currently untitled series will be released in six half-hour episodes that will guide viewers through the most challenging and fulfilling times in Nicki’s life, including the highs, lows and misguided agendas in her rise to fame, as well as her recent journey to motherhood with her nearly two-month-old baby boywith her husband, Kenneth Petty.

“Nicki Minaj is a multi-faceted artist, businesswoman, and innovator as well as force to be reckoned with,” said Sarah Aubrey, HBO Max’s head of original content. “It’s a privilege to bring this project to HBO Max and provide our viewers with unprecedented access to her life.”

The announcement follows the deluxe Friday release of Nicki Minaj’s 2010 debut, Pink Friday: The Complete Edition.
