Following Friday’s typical slew of new singles, albums and music videos, Nicki Minaj decided to release her own, a new visual for the track “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.”
“There’s now a full #RedRubyDaSleeze video on YOUTUBE!!!!” she captioned an Instagram post shared Sunday. “It’ll be everywhere else next week. Happy early MOTHER’S DAY.”
In the new clip, Nicki raps the song’s lyrics while flaunting various swimsuits and outfits as she walks the streets, poses in a luxury car and relaxes by the pool, among other things. The video, per Billboard, was filmed in her home island of Trinidad and Tobago while the rapper enjoyed its 2023 Carnival festivities.
“Red Ruby Da Sleeze” dropped back in March and samples the 2003 track “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)” by Lumidee. It’s likely to appear on Nicki’s forthcoming album, NM5, which she recently teased “is the best thing that will come out of 2023 & will raise the bar to new & unreachable heights.”
