According to Deadline, Nash will star in Lifetime’s Kidnapped: The Kamiyah Mobley Story, based on the true story of a young woman who learns at age 18 that she was abducted as a baby and that the family she lives with is not her own.

The film is being produced Robert’s movie and documentary production company, Robin Roberts Presents, and is Robert’s first project with Lifetime under the new banner.

Nash confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing the announcement and a special message.

“Blessings on Blessings! Teaming up with @robinrobertsgma & @lifetimetv to share this story,” she wrote.

Nash will play Gloria Williams, who after a recent miscarriage, drives to Jacksonville, Florida from South Carolina and poses as nurse, where she kidnaps Kamiyah Mobley.

The film, also starring Rayven Symone Ferrell and Ta’Rhonda Jones, will be followed by a followup documentary featuring the real-life people depicted in the movie.

Kidnapped: The Kamiyah Mobley Story is slated to air sometime in 2020.
