ABC/Craig SjodinFollowing the recent New York Fashion Week fight between Cardi B. and Nicki Minaj, Mary J. Blige is making it clear that there was no “hateration” or “holleration” between her and fellow singer Faith Evans.
After a report surfaced that Blige and Evans got into it during a Diddy party over the weekend in the Hamptons, Blige told Page Six the incident was totally fabricated.
“Of course that was made up,” Blige said. “I was shooting a movie in Louisiana…I just got here today.”
The Oscar-nominated actress and singer rebuffed the rumor while at the Dennis Basso fashion show on Monday, where she also ripped the runway.
“I was a tomboy who thought about running in the streets or hopping a fence, playing basketball,” she said. “I’m not gonna sit here and lie just because we at a fashion show. I just did not think about it, because I was not that girl.”
But Blige has one small complaint about the annual Fashion Week festivities in New York.
“I love Fashion Week, [but] I still don’t get free stuff,” she explained. “I repeat my [outfits] — you just have to know where to repeat it — but it ends up all over the Internet.”
