When B2K rapper Lil Fizz began dating Omarion’s ex, Apryl Jones, they set social media on fire. Now, as he prepares to headline The Millennium Tour 2020, Omarion tells Essence, “I could be acting a damn fool right now, but is that the best thing to do?”

He adds, “When you self-reflect and you get the opportunity to [say], ‘OK. I could go that far, but where’s the best place for me to be?’…When you’re a serious person like me, you have to consider all things.”

The 35-year-old singer also says thinking of his kids helped him avoid commenting about the Apryl/Fizz hookup.

“Having children and just keeping that in perspective and knowing that it’s not all about you — that really helped me just maintain my position,” Omarion says. “You just have to know yourself well enough to know what’s important. And when you do that, things just don’t get in your way.”

“My kids have really brought me into maturity on another level and I really appreciate them for that,” he adds.

Currently, there’s speculation that Fizz and Apryl — the mother of Omarion’s three-year-old daughter A’mei and five-year-old son Megaa — have split.

B2K, which performed on the original Millennium tour in 2019, is noticeably absent from the 2020 lineup, which features AshantiBow WowSoulja Boy, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie and Pretty Ricky.

The 2020 tour kicks off February 29 in Louisville, Kentucky and runs through May 10 in Los Angeles.
