OWNLupita Nyong’o and Cynthia Erivo are officially getting the Oprah Winfrey treatment.
The Oprah Winfrey Network has announced that Winfrey will host a new primetime special, OWN Spotlight: Oprah At Home with Lupita Nyong’o and Cynthia Erivo. The sit-down chat will air on October 26 at 8 p.m. ET on OWN and feature the two women as they discuss their rise to fame and the various roles that have shaped their careers.
According to the announcement, during Winfrey’s one-on-on interview with Nyong’o, the two will discuss colorism in Hollywood and her latest project, a children’s book called Sulwe, about a 5-year-old girl who has the darkest skin in her family.
Then, Erivo will join Oprah to talk about her starring role in the upcoming period drama, Harriet. The Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award-winner will discuss how she prepared to portray the legendary civil rights figure, as well as the controversy surrounding her casting in the film.
Both interviews will replay on Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations. Nyong’o’s will air on October 30; Erivo’s will launch on November 6.
