Foc Kan/WireImagePharrell Williams has relaunched his personal website to cater to his fans.
Williams’ followers can create fan cards in one of five categories — music, fashion, art/design, TV/film or social good — and choose their favorite Williams project in the category. Their card will be featured on the homepage.
Williams admits he previously ignored his website, and now his goal is to make it interactive and show his appreciation to everyone who supports him.
“I am nothing without the people who enjoy my work,” he writes in a lengthy Facebook post. “I can’t exist without all of you. I can create all day, but if there isn’t an audience to co-sign my projects, to acknowledge they’re any good, they would just exist in my mind.”
The 11-time Grammy winner emphasizes that fans are the focal point of his website.
“It’s a way for me to connect with all of you in a personal way. You are the reason I have a career, and it’s important to me that you’re all acknowledged first.”
Williams says after seeing cards from his fans first, viewers will learn about his diversified range of activities.
“It’s kind of like a museum, and I hope those new to my world will enjoy learning about all the collaborations I’ve had the honor of participating in.”
