According to the Daily Mail U.K., filming has been going on in Montreal, Canada for the past 6 weeks.
Amazing songstress Andra Day portrays the legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday. Day stars alongside actor Garrett Hedlund in the film.
A recent Twitter post shows the two of them leaving the set.

According to the internet film database IMBd, “the film largely focuses on the events surrounding her narcotics arrest at her home in New York City in 1947, and the years of legal woes and drug addiction leading up to her death in 1959 at the age of 44.”
