PJ Morton‘s has a slow-burning hit on his hands, as the JoJo-assisted ballad “Say So” ascends to new heights on Billboard‘s Adult R&B Songs chart.
Twenty-one weeks after debuting on the tally, the duet has reached the #10 position on the chart. The feat marks a first for both PJ and JoJo, accounting for their very first top-10 entry on the Adult R&B Songs chart. The closest PJ previously came to achieving similar success was with his 2017 effort, “First Began,” which peaked at number 12 on the chart.
Lifted from the R&B crooner’s latest release, Paul, “Say So” serves as the lead single for the highly-introspective body of work. Described by PJ as a sonic dose of his “purest form,” the album also features a guest spot from political commentator Angela Rye as well as a tribute to late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
PJ is gearing up to hit the road next month for his North American headlining tour in support of Paul.
