Overnight protests erupted near Milwaukee after video appears to show police shooting a Black man in the back. The video begins with the man walking around an SUV on Sunday afternoon in Kenosha as police yell at him. When the man opens the driver-side door of the SUV, an officer grabs the man’s shirt and appears to shoot him several times in the back. The man identified as Jacob Blake was taken to the hospital and is listed in serious condition. Kenosha police say they were responding to a “domestic incident”. As word of the shooting spread, protestors gathered outside police headquarters and numerous cars were set on fire. Protestors also faced off with officers dressed in riot gear. The Wisconsin Department of Justice is heading up the investigation.
