Put Your Fist Pumps in the Air! Arsenio Hall To Host Greatest Hits Series on ABC This Thursday

ABCFans of Arsenio Hall will be pleased to know that the late-night talk show host is headed back to television for a brand new series.

Greatest Hits will feature Hall and co-host, country singer Kelsea Ballerini, in the unscripted singing show that will feature big-name musical artists, such as Backstreet BoysJason DeruloJohn LegendJewel andLittle Big Town, singing hit songs that were released between 1980 and 2005.

“We literally have the greatest artists, the greatest hits, and nobody’s there to promote their product, their concert, their album…they’re just there to love all music,” Hall tells ABC Radio when describing the idea behind the series.

The comedian also talks about his on-screen chemistry with Ballerini and how alike they truly are in certain ways.

“We talk about bridging the musical generation gap, which kind of is encapsulated in our presence. This 22-year-old with this veteran of 112. We love a lot of the same music,” says Hall.

Hall also discussed how happy he was when LL Cool J showed up with Wiz Khalifa, for both musical and recreational purposes.

Executive producer Ken Ehrlich believes that Hall and Ballerini make a great duo for the program.

“To be honest with you, we didn’t know how good they were going to be together. You kind of hope that you can make magic, but as it’s turned out, there really is magic between them. It’s wonderful,” says Ehrlich.

Greatest Hits premieres on Thursday, June 30 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
