Christian LantryMore chapters of R. Kelly‘s epic rap opera, Trapped in the Closet, are on the way!
“I have 35 more chapters of that done. I’m very excited about that. It will absolutely be out next year,” the R&B superstar tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The last installment, which featured 11 chapters, aired in 2012.
With Kelly’s 12 Nights of Christmas holiday album out now, the recording artist also has plans to release a “R&B hip-hop” studio project in 2017. But for now, he is focused on his current 12 Nights of Christmas tour, where fans can expect to hear songs from the album, classic hits and “new school stuff.”
“I’m kinda nervous but excited at the same time since it’s my first Christmas tour,” Kelly says. “I know I’m going to have to do a lot of R. Kelly songs — I’d probably get some chairs thrown at me if I don’t. There will be four or five songs from the new [Christmas] album.”
