R. Kelly’s ex-wife Andrea Kelly blasts her critics

by

Randee St. Nicholas/RCA RecordsAfter revealing years of abuse by her former husband R. Kelly, Andrea Kelly is blasting those who are criticizing her as she speaks out nine years after her divorce.

“You are by far the biggest supporter of my abuser. By you shaming me and any other victims you’re helping the abuser accomplish their take of belittling, intimidating, and discounting all the abuse they’ve put the #victim and #victims through!,” Andrea wrote on Instagram. “You WILL NOT stop me from saving lives and giving hope to those who are where I was.”

I AM A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS!,” she continued “I am a #SURVIVOR OF SEXUAL ABUSE *EMOTIONAL ABUSE* PHYSICAL ABUSE *ECONOMIC ABUSE at the hands of my EX husband.”

Andrea Kelly ended her post, “To the ones still in it, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! You will get away I DID.”

As previously reported, Andrea Kelly appeared on the TV One Sister Circle show in June and said what the singer did to her was “criminal.”

Andrea described that she was driven to almost take her own life, and was about to jump from a hotel balcony. But, she said, when she envisioned her death, God convinced her not to jump.

Andrea says God told her to go to a computer and search for “domestic violence.” She left the balcony and grabbed a laptop.

With tears streaming down her face, Andrea painfully described how she reacted when she was filling out a domestic violence questionnaire.

“It was 17 questions, and they asked you, ‘Has your abuser ever done this,'” she recalls. “Of the 17, Robert had done 15 to me.”

R. Kelly and Andrea married in 1996, and divorced in 2009. They have three children.
