Tim Mosenfelder/Getty Images”Who is Billie Elisih?” wrote The Lox rapper Styles P via Twitter, referring to Grammy-winning pop singer Billie Eilish and her comments on rap music. Although he did agree with some of what she said, he questioned why anyone in hip-hip would care what she thinks.

“And she is sorta of right but she don’t get the culture nor is she apart oif it so why d o we give a fuck? How or why is her opinion important to us?” Styles tweeted.

Styles P believes rappers should be able to say whatever they want and those who don’t like it should “mind their business.” He also believes society should stop placing silly standards on rappers about the things they should and shouldn’t do.

Earlier this week, during an interview with Vogue magazine, Eilish said there’s a difference between lying in a song and writing a song. “There are tons of songs where people are just lying. There’s a lot of that in rap right now, from people that I know who rap. It’s like, ‘I got my AK-47, and I’m ***in’,’ and I’m like, what? You don’t have a gun.”

Styles P admitted that all rappers lie, including himself.

“I’ve lied in a lot of rhymes !! I’ve rhymed about having and doing shit I didn’t or couldn’t .. and those lies got me to be able to live nice and do nice shit ..  if you don’t like something don’t listen to it …”

Styles P is a member of the Lox, alongside rappers Jadakiss and Sheek Louch. The group signed to Bad Boy in 1995, before Ruff Ryders in 1998.

Styles P released his 12th solo album last year, Presence.
