Myrna Suarez/WireImage for Parkwood EntertainmentRumors of a Beyonce/Jay Z duo album have been flying for years, and now it appears the album is about to become reality.
The New York Post’s Page Six reports that Bey and Jay have completed the album and it will be released “very soon.” Beyonce’s Lemonade led to speculation that their marriage was in trouble, and this joint project may be their response. According to a source, “Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after Lemonade. It’s more their style to respond through music.”
Queen Bey and Jigga have previously recorded several songs together, including “Drunk in Love” which won two Grammy Awards in 2014 and the 2004 double Grammy winner “Crazy in Love,” as well as “Déjà Vu,” “Upgrade U,” “03 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Hollywood,” “Lift Off,” and “Part II (On the Run).”
The couple also performed together on their 2014 On the Run Tour which grossed more $100 million and spawned an HBO special.
