by

Noel Vasquez/GC ImagesBeyonce and Jay Z are worth multi-millions, but once again, they were denied buying a mansion in Los Angeles.

Bey and Jay offered $49 million for a Beverly Hills estate, but they lost the house to fashion designer Tom Ford who bid $50 million, TMZ reports. Jay, of course, gave the designer major props in the song “Tom Ford” on his 2013 Magna Carta Holy Grail. Ford also was mentioned in the Jay Z/Justin Timberlake Grammy Award winning “Suit & Tie.”

The estate, which was built in 1934, sits on more than three acres, with nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. It was previously owned by actor William Powell, and James Bond producer Albert Broccoli.

Two years ago, Beyoncé and Jay Z were outbid for a Beverly Hills mansion by Swedish video game programmer Markus Persson.
