The TV movie is scheduled to premiere October 8.

According to TMZ, the estate claims the biopic “violates Bobbi Kristina’s right to privacy, which survived her death.”

As previously reported, Bobby’s own lawsuit alleges that TV One “knowingly and maliciously used his persona and life in the movie and promotion of the film” and that it “contains defamatory and untrue depictions” of him, particularly concerning his relationship with his daughter and late wife Whitney Houston.

Bobby Brown and Bobbi Kristina’s estate are reportedly seeking more than $2 million in damages — Bobby was previously asking for $1 million — and wants the judge to halt the airing of the movie.

TV One responded to Bobby’s claims saying that it is are “aware” of the R&B singer’s lawsuit and is “taking appropriate steps on behalf of our network to respond.”

The network also stated that it stands by the film’s representation of Bobbi Kristina’s life after Whitney’s death.

Bobbi Kristina premieres Sunday, October 8 at 7 p.m. ET on TVOne.

It features singer and Saints and Sinners actress Demetria McKinney as Whitney, Hassan Johnson as Bobby, Vivica A. Fox as Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat Houston, and up-and-coming actress Joy Rovaris as Bobbi Kristina.
