Report: Israel Houghton’s Child Support Case Dropped

Marcus Ingram/Getty Images for Super Bowl GospelAdrienne Bailon can breathe a sigh of relief now that her new husband, Israel Houghton, has just been let off the hook in a paternity and child support case.

According to Bossip, the Texas Attorney General’s Office has abandoned a case against Houghton over the paternity of one son and child support determination for the child and another boy.

A Harris County Family Court judge signed off on terminating the case earlier this week with the mother of Houghton’s sons, DeVawn Moreno, telling the gossip site that the case was stopped because the facts weren’t correct.

“The suit was dropped because of misleading information,” Moreno explained in an email. “Our children are well taken care of as it always has been.”

As previously reported, Houghton’s legal team previously told Bossip, “[Houghton] has been financially supporting the two children since they were born, and hasn’t yet been served with the suit because he is on tour.”

The gospel singer tied the knot last month with The Real co-host Adrienne Bailon in Paris.
