Xscape; DeWayne Rogers/Monami EntertainmentAfter promoting the fact that she would be hosting the upcoming Xscape reunion tour, NeNe Leakes has reportedly been dropped from the gig after she lashed out at an attendee at one of her stand-up shows, saying she hoped they were raped by their Uber driver.
NeNe has since apologized for her comments on Instagram, but unfortunately, they were apparently too much for the 90s girl group.
In a statement sent to TMZ, Xscape says that, “as supporters of all women,” they had to do what’s best and drop the reality star.
“Like many, we were dismayed by the recent remarks made by our talented colleague and friend Nene Leakes,” the statement read.
“As a result, we have decided to no longer proceed with her participation on our tour.”
The statement continues: “As strong supporters of all women, we know this decision is what is best. Our hearts go out to all female victims and we stand with you!”
“This tour is for and about our fans and we want to provide an entertaining and enjoyable experience for every single person who attends.”
The statement concludes, “As always, we are grateful for the love and support and we look forward to seeing all of you at The Great Xscape tour.”
Leakes has yet to respond to the report, though the Great Xscape tour promo on her Instagram has since been removed.
