Report: R. Kelly’s girlfriend Jocelyn Savage previously claimed the singer sexually assaulted her in 2015

by

Cook County Sheriff’s OfficeR. Kelly’s girlfriend Jocelyn Savage recently defended the “Bump N’ Grind” singer in an interview with CBS This Morning‘s Gayle King, but she reportedly told friends he sexually assaulted the first time they met.

According to The Blast, Savage previously revealed that Kelly assaulted her in 2015, during a private audition in a hotel room in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kelly allegedly forced Savage, who was an adult at the time, onto a bed and sexually assaulted her after telling her to strip down to her underwear.

The Blast also reports that Savage told her vocal coach and two friends about the incident. The coach told Savage’s parents, and this week, the friends reportedly shared the information with federal investigators.

The Blast also claims that there exists a recording of a phone call between Savage and the voice coach, in which Savage explains the “control Kelly has taken over her life.”

As previously reported, the singer was released from jail on March 11, after a payment of $161,000 in back child support was made on his behalf. His arrest for child support non-payment was his second arrest in two weeks, after previously being charged February 22 with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse involving four women, three of whom are said to have been minors at the time of the alleged crimes.

Kelly was initially released from jail February 25 after an unidentified woman, said to be a “friend” of the singer, paid ten percent of Kelly’s one-million-dollar bond.

The singer has denied all wrongdoing.
