ABC/Lou RoccoAs Rihanna‘s fans anxiously await a follow-up to 2016’s ANTI, the global star has reportedly been working on her ninth studio album on a private island in England, The Mirror has learned.
According to the tabloid, the “Work” singer relocated to the U.K. last year and has been keeping a low profile in London over the past 12 months. While across the pond, Rih has allegedly been renting out an island called Osea, located in an estuary in Essex, England, to prep the project.
The private island comes complete with a state-of-the-art studio, a gym, movie theater, pool and a set of quaint cottages to accommodate Rih and her entourage.
Per the Mirror, a source claims that the beauty mogul has been working “at her own pace” as she juggles her multiple business ventures as well as personal life.
“She’s had a few stints in the studio since her last album, but she’s been really focused on her makeup, clothing and lingerie lines,” the source told the Mirror.
Osea island reportedly costs about $25,000 per day to rent, but for a woman of Rih’s means, that’s pocket change. As previously reported, Forbes named her America’s richest female musician, with an estimated net worth of $600 million.
