According to the site, the L.A. County District Attorney’s office has cited a “lack of evidence” as to why it won’t be following through with legal action against the Harlem rapper.

Skye’s camp confirmed the dropped charges in a statement to The FADER, but claimed there’s a restraining order against Wes that is “still in effect.”

“It is unfortunate that the Los Angeles District Attorney decided to not pursue any further action at this time but that is often the case with many victims of domestic violence, which is why incidents like this go unreported much of the time,” the brief statement read.

As previously reported, Skye claimed that while at the hotel, the “Mo Bamba” lyricist threw her phone across a hotel room, slapped her in the face with a wad of cash and berated her.

The “Build” singer’s allegations of abuse at the hotel were just part of a series of claims against Wes. According to Skye, over the course of their relationship, the rapper was repeatedly abusive and violent.

Early last month, Skye blasted Wes for his alleged abuses via Twitter.

“You’re pathetic Sheck and you beat women. You hit your girl before me and you’ll do it again,” she tweeted.

Wes, however, shot down Skye’s allegations by calling them “lies.” He continues to maintain his innocence.
