Report: Tamar Braxton’s husband order to pay almost $4 million to Sony

by

ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaIn March, Tamar Braxton‘s husband Vincent Herbert was sued by Sony Music for allegedly not paying back money the music label fronted him as part of a 2013 artist development deal.

Now, Vince has been ordered by a judge to cough up nearly $4 million to Sony, reports TMZ

As previously reported, Braxton’s husband was named in the $3.4 million dollar lawsuit by Sony Music for reportedly “refusing to hand over millions he owed to the label.”

Sony sought a default judgement in the amount of $3.4 million plus interest, after Herbert failed to respond to the allegations in court.

The dispute began when Sony paid Herbert a $5 million dollar advance against any future profits it would make from the stars that Herbert was supposed to sign.

The deal required him to bring in two new artists per year, but he only ended up bringing his wife Tamar.

The label claimed it recouped about $1.5 million from her, leaving a $3.4 million deficit.
