Report: Tank Cancels His National Anthem Performance at Los Angeles Clippers Game

by

Atlantic RecordsTank is protesting the alleged racist remarks made by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling by refusing to sing the national anthem at the NBA team’s next game. Tank was scheduled to sing the anthem before Tuesday’s home playoff game against the Golden State Warriors, but has reportedly cancelled his appearance.

Tank tells TMZ, “As an African-American man and artist, I must take a stand on a matter that is so deeply personal to me.” He added, “In light of the recent disturbing and offensive allegations, in good conscience, I cannot move forward with my scheduled appearance at Tuesday’s Los Angeles Clippers game.”

Rihanna, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and many other artists have also condemned Sterling.
