Rihanna Confirmed for Grammys Performance

by

Monty Brinton/CBSRihanna will perform on the Grammy Awards later this month, it’s been confirmed.

The official Grammys Twitter feed announced the news, writing, “It’s official: Eight-time GRAMMY winner @rihanna joins the all-star lineup for the 58th #GRAMMYs Feb. 15 on @CBS!”  And Rihanna herself tweeted, “See y’all at the #GRAMMYS.”

The last time the singer appeared on the Grammy Awards was just last year, when she performed “Four Five Seconds” with Kanye West and Paul McCartney.  While all three of those artists have won multiple Grammy Awards, the song surprisingly failed to receive any nods for this year’s Grammys.

Adele, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Tori Kelly, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar are among the other performers scheduled to appear on this year’s telecast, which airs February 15 on CBS.

Rihanna’s new album, ANTI, is headed for the #1 spot after debuting last week at #27.  If it achieves that position, it’ll be her second #1 album, following Unapologetic.
