Eminem and Rihanna teamed up last year for the #1 hit “The Monster,” and now they’re taking their double act on the road
Eminem tweeted “NYC/DET/LA this August with @Rihanna! #TheMonsterTour,” and then provided a link to an article in XXL magazine in which he discusses his plans.
“There are some shows coming up with Rihanna,” Eminem says in the magazine’s latest issue. “It’s a three-city tour: New York, L.A. and Detroit coming in August. The Monster Tour.”
Rihanna retweeted Em’s messsage, and added, “OH IM THERE!!!!!”
No other details about the tour are available right now; Eminem’s full interview will be available March 11, when XXL magazine hits newsstands.
It remains to be seen whether Rihanna might have some new music to promote by August. 2013 was the first year since 2008 that she did not release a new album. Her most recent disc, Unapologetic, came out in 2012.
