Rihanna seeks revenge in the dark and violent video for “B***h Better Have My Money.”
In the cinematic clip, which she co-directed with Megaforce, the singer kidnaps a rich white lady inside an elevator and stuffs her into a vintage Goyard trunk. With the help of Rihanna’s two henchman, they drive off into the dessert with the topless woman.
Rihanna seems to have mapped out a getaway plan, which includes chartering a ship and hiding out in a cheap motel room with the blonde hostage. However, it turns out Rihanna had a bone to pick with the hostage’s husband, an accountant who embezzled her money and spent it recklessly on strippers and alcohol. After catching him, Rihanna goes for blood as she ties him up and then takes her time picking a deadly weapon from large selection of knives.
In the end, a naked Rihanna wakes up the covered in blood while laying in the suitcase full of her stolen money.
Prior to releasing the visual, Rihanna spilled via Instagram that she’s been patiently waiting to deliver the video for a while. “Ya girl got director skillz!!! The concept for this piece came to me 8 months ago!!! So you can imagine how anxious I am right now!!!” she wrote.
The song appears on her long-awaited album, tentatively titled R8, which is due out later this year.
