Rihanna reveals she’s recording new music


Tim P. Whitby/Tim P. Whitby/Getty ImagesRihanna has been focusing on her acting career lately, but fans who are worried that Ri-Ri had forgotten about her day job can rest easy: She says she’s in the process of recording.

“I actually am in the studio and working on new music,” she said while appearing on BBC America’s The Graham Norton Show.

On the show, Norton said his Twitter feed has been blowing up with people inquiring about Rihanna’s msuic career, and when he asked her about new music, she responded, “I know one of my fans got to you, Graham.”

Norton followed up, asking if she had a deadline to release hew new music. Rihanna obviously did not want to provide details, and responded, “They paid you well,” as the audience laughed. Norton persisted, asking “Will it be out for Christmas?”

The “Diamonds” singer responded, “You just have to wait and see.”

Rihanna’s most recent solo album was 2016’s Anti. Last year, she was featured on DJ Khaled’s triple platinum single “Wild Thoughts” with Bryson Tiller, as well as “Loyalty,” on Kendrick Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning album DAMN. and “Lemon,” on N.E.R.D.’s No One Ever Really Dies album.
