ABC/Richard HarbaughEarlier this month, Rihanna announced plans to hold her first Diamond Ball benefiting the Clara Lionel Foundation, a philanthropic organization founded by the singer. Now, she’s revealed that Brad Pitt and Jimmy Kimmel will attend the event, taking place December 11 in Los Angeles.
“It is such an honor to have Jimmy Kimmel host this event. There is no one more hilarious to make the first annual Diamond Ball an incredible night. I’m blessed by his support,” Rihanna said in a statement. ”Brad Pitt is not only a phenomenal talent, but I admire him and am inspired by his philanthropic work.”
As previously reported, the upcoming ceremony will be held at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills with a guest list maxing out at 600. The singer has planned a festive event, during which she will perform backed by a live orchestra. In addition, guests will enjoy dinner and a live auction.
The organization, which honors her grandparents Clara and Lionel Brathwaite, aims to fund efforts that promote health, education, arts and culture globally.
