Rihanna has never been shy about public affection, but this time she touched the wrong thing.
The Barbadian singer broke World Cup etiquette when she posed holding the trophy with Germany’s forward, Miroslav Klose. According to FIFA guidelines, only winners of the tournament and heads of state are allowed to handle the official World Cup Trophy.
Rihanna’s lively Twitter feed has featured pictures of her raising her jersey over her head after Germany beat Argentina, receiving kisses from players Lucas Podolski and Bastian Scheinsteiger, and pictures of her alongside Brazil’s superstar Pele and U.S. goalie Tim Howard.
Mind you, Rihanna has no regrets about breaking with tradition by touching the World Cup. On Twitter, she boasted: “I touched the cup, held the cup, kissed the cup, took a selfie wit the cup!!! I meeeann…what is YO bucket list looking like bruh?”
