Photo Courtesy of RCA RecordsSinger-songwriter Ro James debut single, “Permission,” has taken the number one spot on this week’s Urban Adult Contemporary Radio chart, making this the artist’s first number one song.
“Permission” is featured on James’ debut album, ELDORADO, released by ByStorm Entertainment and RCA Records. The album climbed to the number three spot on the Billboard R&B Albums chart and number eight on the Hip-Hop/R&B Albums chart. Pitchfork describes ELDORADO as “lush, heartfelt R&B.”
Ro James also performed at this year’s ESSENCE Festival for the event’s Apple Music R&B Rising showcase, which touted the artist as one-to-watch.
