by

KMazur/WireImageThe Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is celebrating Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday with a free party.

The King of Pop would have turned 60 on August 29, and the Hall of Fame in Cleveland will honor his memory with a series of events, including a “Thriller” dance performance, a Zombie transformation station, and costume contests.

In addition to the free outdoor celebration, the Hall of Fame also features Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five exhibits which require paid admission.

MJ was inducted into the hall with The Jackson Five in 1997, and again as a solo artist in 2001.

Also on August 29th, members of Michael’s family will participate in the Michael Jackson Diamond Birthday Celebration at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Michael’s children, Paris and Prince, and his brothers Jackie, Marlon and Tito are expected to attend the two-part event. A performance of Michael Jackson One by Cirque du Soleil will be followed by an after-party at the Daylight Beach Club.

Mark Ronson, who won the Grammy for Record of the Year in 2016 for ”Uptown Funk,” featuring Bruno Mars, will be the DJ for the party. There will also be a “surprise superstar performance.”

At the party, Paris, who is an Ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, and Prince, will accept the 2018 Elizabeth Taylor Legacy Award for Humanitarian Service on behalf of her late father. The Michael Jackson Estate is working with the foundation to bring health care to the African country of Malawi.
