iStock/TalajSade’s son, Izaak Theo Adu, who was born female, is publicly thanking his mother as he makes his transition.
“Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma. Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am,” Izaak commented on Instagram with a photo of himself and Sade. “Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, for the love you give me. The purest heart. I love you so much. Queen of queens.”
The 23-year-old, who came out as transgender in 2016, also wrote that he’s coming home after six months in a hospital.
Izaak has consistently written about his journey on social media. Last week, he posted, “Life is full of twists and turns, but if you sit back and let the universe take over, things will start to become clear.”
“These past 6 months have opened my eyes to the true magic that is present all around me,” he continued. “I am thankful every day for the people in my life.”
