Freeform/Image Group LASalt-N-Pepa will make their first-ever appearance tonight on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and for the legendary female rappers, it’s a dream come true.

“We’re like so stoked about it because we haven’t [performed on the show before], and like to just finally make the Dick Clark special. You know the New Year’s. How better way to bring it in you know with some Salt-N-Pepa?” Sandy Denton, AKA Pepa, tells ABC Audio. “A little flavor for ya.”

The Grammy-winning duo will perform on the West Coast segment of the show, which also features Megan Thee Stallion and will be hosted by Ciara

“Watched it at home for years,” says Cheryl James, AKA Salt. “I hate going out on New Year’s Eve ‘cause so crowded. So I love just sitting there and watching the ball drop and watching New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and now I’m going to be on the show. It’s part of my bucket list.”

The show will also include Usher performing at the Allstate Fan Fest in New Orleans, which will be the Central Time Zone countdown location.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
