The mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Carmen Yulin Cruz was recently on MSNBC. She said no one in the U.S. territory has received a coronavirus stimulus check. Most people in Puerto Rico meet the criteria to receive the stimulus check. She said several federal promises have been delayed. They have 130,000 unemployment applications that have not been answered. She said new requests for food stamps are backlogged. As of Wednesday, 1,300 people have been infected with the virus and 83 people have died from it. The lockdown has been extended in Puerto Rico until May.
