Vivien Killilea/Getty Images for boohooMANRapper Saweetie says she knew her boyfriend Quavo loved her not because he lavished her with expensive gifts — but because he saved his last bite of food for her.
Speaking to Page Six, Saweetie — born Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper — warmly recalled the exact moment she knew it was true love.
“The moment I realized that Quavo really loved me is when he saved me some of his food,” she revealed. “He gave me his last piece of chicken.”
The 27-year-old “My Type” artist said she wasn’t “testing” her boyfriend or hinting that he needed to make a grand gesture to prove himself, she added. “I’ll be coming out of a Zoom meeting or done doing something and he would have saved me some of his food,” said Saweetie.
“Those are the things that really matter: the things that have no price on them,” the BET Award-nominee gushed. She then referenced her luxurious Christmas gift the Migos rapper gave her, noting, “The Bentley is cool but I’m really into intimacy and how you treat me with my emotional feels.”
Over the holidays, Quavo spoiled his girlfriend by buying her a brand-new customized white Bentley, complete with the title of her debut single “Icy” embroidered on the headrest.
And while Saweetie admits she definitely enjoys the life of luxury, she finds that it’s the little things that makes up the heart of her relationship.
The two went official in September 2018.
