ABC/Ida Mae AstuteWE tv’s hit docuseries Mary Mary is returning for its sixth installment this September…but, unfortunately for fans, it will the show’s final season.
The series, which follows the lives of gospel sister duo Mary Mary — Erica and Tina Campbell —promises to go out with a bang as the pair heads out on the road for a massive world tour while tending to their own solo careers.
As for Mary Mary, the series, coming to an end, Tina says in an official statement, “I’m so grateful to have shared the last several years of my life, personally and professionally, with all the supporters of the viewers of our reality show.”
She adds, “I can’t possibly find the words to truly express my gratitude for this experience so I’ll just say thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who made it happen and to everyone who watched it happen. It’s been great.”
Erica also says, “We have been so proud to share our music and our lives with WE tv viewers and fans for the past five seasons.”
“We are grateful to our fans for going with us on this journey, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. We can’t wait to return this fall to complete this part of our story.”
Mary Mary was nominated for a prestigious NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Reality Program/Reality Competition Series earlier this year.
