The smooth track finds the R&B singer in the midst of what many would consider an “entanglement” or a no-strings-attached situation-ship.

Streeter makes it clear on the chorus: “This ain’t love…you know what’s up.”

She continues singing, “I refuse to let it go, you know it’s all yours / We [mess] it up, when we get close, it’s perfect timin’ / I was ’bout my bidness / Until my heart fell in it.”

“HMU” serves as the follow-up to her single “Whatchusay,” which dropped last year.

Fans will also be excited to know the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter is working on her sophomore album, Drunken Wordz x Sober Thoughtz, which arrives next month.

In 2017, Streeter released her debut album, Girl Disrupted. Since then, she’s collaborated with dozens of artists, including Chris Brown, Dave East, Lloyd, Ty Dolla $ignCoi Leray, and recently on newcomer YelloPain’s “My Vote Will Count.”

She also appeared on “Price Of Loving You,” a cut from Rico Love’s latest album, Emerging Women of R&B.
