Tuesday night, the “Mo Bamba” rapper’s camp broke their silence on the matter by issuing an official statement in which they adamantly defend Wes.

“We are actively investigating the allegations against Sheck Wes and are fiercely standing by him through this,” the statement read. “He has denied any wrongdoing whatsoever or violence of any kind and we believe him.”

The statement continues by acknowledging Wes as “a strong supporter of the rights and liberties of all people.” Wes’s team also labels Skye’s acccusations as “attempts to assassinate his character.”

“He will no longer sit by and allow these falsehoods to live on any further,” the statement concludes.

Meanwhile, Skye is apparently taking the matter up with authorities. On Wednesday, the “Build” singer posted a series of Instagram stories in which she is seen inside a precinct to file an official report against Wes.

“Been here all day, but progress is being made. Thank God,” she wrote.

Shortly after, however, Skye appeared to have encountered a bit of difficulty in her pursuit of justice. According to the singer, she had to file a report at a different precinct after dealing with a “dismissive and disrespectful” deputy.

“This is why most women don’t go to or call the police by the way,” Skye shared with her fans. “But don’t let them discourage you because I for sure am not.”

As previously reported, Skye publicly accused Wes of physically attacking her and a group of friends via Twitter on Tuesday. She also divulged details of his alleged abusive behavior during their former relationship.
