L’Oréal Paris has announced that the Academy-Award wining actress has become the new face of its L’Oréal’s Age Perfect campaign, the brand’s skincare line for mature skin.

In an Instagram post, Davis shared the news of her partnership with a glammed-up photo of herself sporting a red lip and her natural hair.

“The self affirming words of, “Because I’m worth it” have always given me chill bumps,” Davis wrote. “What a joy it will be to not just say them over and over again…but to spread the message of worth to women around the world. It is a gift.”

In another post, Davis shared a snippet of a new promo in which she says, “Only you can define your worth.”

“My revelation at 54 is this….’A girl should be two things, who and what she wants’…. Because…We Are #WorthIt!,” she captioned the video.

In a statement, Davis said it wasn’t easy becoming the confident and radiant woman you see today.

“I worked tremendously hard to get where I am today—overcoming feelings of doubt to become a woman who truly believes I am ‘worth it’ in every way,” Davis said. “I believe it’s so important to build confidence in women from a young age, and to role model diverse perspectives of beauty.”

She continued, “To now be part of a brand that has been championing women’s worth for more than 40 years and to use my voice to help empower others is truly surreal.”

Davis join the brand’s roster of talented spokeswomen which have included Jane FondaCeline Dion and even Davis’s How to Get Away With Murder co-star, Aja Naomi King.

Later this month, the Oscar-winner will appear in TV, print and digital advertising campaigns for Age Perfect.
