Max HirschbergerSolange released her new album When I Get Home Friday at midnight, tweeting “play the whole thing thruuu,” with a link to the album.
The 19 track record that’s only 39 minutes long was released after a savvy promotional push, that included her teasing the new record on the social network website Black Planet.
On Twitter, fans were quick to react.
“So far Solange hasn’t had a song be a miss on here, it has deada** been hit after hit. AND THE TRANSITIONS, HUN,” wrote one user.
Another gushed “Solange wasn’t playing, every song on this album goes.”
“Intellectuals when they finish listening to the new #Solange” read another tweet with a gif of Willow Smith growing a third eye.
One tweet observed “Every time you see the explicit lyric tag on the Solange track that sh** slaps like a comet hit.”
Yet another user pleaded for Solange to branch out into movies, writing “Can Solange pls score a movie like my GOD,”
The new album is the follow-up to Solange’s 2016 release A Seat at the Table.
