“Apes**t,” by Beyoncé and JAY-Z and Cardi B‘s #1 smash “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin, were among the more than 20 songs Obama chose.

His list also includes Normani and Khalid‘s hit duet “Love Lies,” “Make Me Feel” by Janelle Monae, “Could’ve Been” by H.E.R. featuring Bryson Tiller, “Kevin’s Heart” by J. Cole, “My Own Thing” by Chance the Rapper featuring Joey Purp, and “Wow Freestyle” by Jay Rock featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Also on Obama’s list: Prince‘s “Mary Don’t You Weep,” from the archival album Piano & A Microphone 1983, released this year.

Obama writes in an Instagram post that the songs he chose are the ones he found the “most thought-provoking, inspiring, or just plain loved.”  He adds that making such a list “gives me a chance to highlight talented…artists…some who are household names and others who you may not have heard of before.”
