SpaceX Returns to Earth After Successful 2-Month Mission Into Space

SpaceX and NASA’s #LaunchAmerica journey has returned to Earth after completing a successful mission aboard the space ship built by a private company. It’s the first US splashdown in 45 years.

American astronauts Robert Behnken and Doug Hurley — lifted off  back in May aboard SpaceX’s Dragon Endeavor. The splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Pensacola this afternoon.
Space Exploration Technologies Corp., trading as SpaceX, is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. It was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs to enable the colonization of Mars.
