Starz unveils ‘Power Book IV: Force’ cast; Jaime Foxx’s ‘Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!’ gets release date

Courtesy Starz and NetflixStarz has unveiled the main cast for its forthcoming series, Power Book IV: Force. 

Executive producers Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Courtney A. Kemp are gearing up for the next Power spinoff series, following the successful first season of Power Book II: Ghost.

Power Book IV: Force focuses on Joseph Sikora‘s character Tommy Egan, who decides to cut ties and put New York in his rearview mirror for good, according to a press release. 

In addition to Sikora, the main cast includes Issac KeysShane HarperAnthony Fleming III, Lucien Cambric and The Have and The Have Nots star Gabrielle Ryan, as well as Kris D. Lofton from HBO’s Ballers and Tyler Perrys Meet The Browns.

Keys plays Diamond, the former head of Chicago’s most promising crew, who was taking over the city before serving a 15-year prison sentence. Now that’s he’s free, Diamond intends to take the back his title as crew leader from his younger brother Jenard Sampson, played by Lofton. 

Meanwhile, veteran actor Jaime Foxx is gearing up for his sitcom return with his Netflix series, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! It’s inspired by his relationship with his daughter Corinne Foxx, who also serves as executive producer.

Jaime will play Brian Dixon, a successful business owner, who unexpectedly becomes a single father to his teenage daughter Sasha, played by rising actress Kyla-Drew Simmons. The series reunites Foxx with his In Living Color co-star David Alan Grier, who plays Dixon’s father.

The project also reunites Foxx with Bentley Kyle Evans, who was the showrunner of his popular comedy series, The Jamie Foxx Show.

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! arrives April 14 on Netflix.
