Wonder closed the public memorial with a rendition of the Prince classic “Purple Rain,” as well as some kind words about the late musician, who died last month at the age of 57.

“What a celebration. What an incredible life, music and legacy that he gave us,” Wonder remarked to the crowd.

“I think the only thing we can do in the spirit of Prince is to learn to truly love one another and come together,” he added.

The night’s lineup also included Aloe Blacc; Faith Evans, who sang Prince’s “I Feel for You,” made famous by Chaka Khan; and Eric Benet, who’s married to Prince’s ex-wife Manuela Testolini.
