Stevie Wonder’s Last Conversation with Prince: We Talked About How We Needed to Fix This World

by

M. Caulfield/WireImageDuring his lifetime, Prince cited Stevie Wonder as a influence and role model, and now the Motown legend is recalling is final conversation with the late singer.

“We talked about how we needed to fix this world,” Wonder tells Rolling Stone. “All this bullcrap about getting our country back and ‘Make America Great Again’ — it’s always been great. We just have to stop people filling their minds with lies and prejudice and open them up to the possibilities.”

He continues, “Prince was so inspired, and so inspiring. He was kind, he was disciplined and he knew where he wanted to go. He was able to make big transitions. If Michael [Jackson] was the King of Pop, Prince should be the Emperor.”

And showing that even in this saddest of times his humor remains, the blind from birth Wonder adds, “Prince’s music was so picturesque that even I could see it.
